Issues with Punctuation Usage in SONIX
The worst flaw or major mistake of SONIX is its use of punctuation marks. It recognizes a period when someone speaks slowly. And always, in a pause—even a very brief one—it uses capitalization for what follows. In other words, it applies punctuation marks based on the prosody of the sentence rather than its semantics. Polishing a text by correcting punctuation takes an eternity. I use SONIX because there is no other option, but if another program with better punctuation handling emerges—if another program without this issue appears—SONIX will lose all its customers.
